WASHINGTON – Rep. Pete Stark (D-CA), Chairman of the House Ways and Means Health Subcommittee, today commented on a report by the Government Accountability Office (GAO) on marketing abuses by Medicare Advantage (MA) plans.

This guidance update is effective for contract year 2010. All enrollments with an effective date on or after January 1, 2010, must be processed in accordance with the revised guidance requirements.
